Chunk presentation

Well had our first pitch to our client, I feel it was rather mixed but we had the kick up the a** that we needed and they thankfully brought up a few points about some of our concepts that i was thinking to which made it easier for me...

after a brief chat we have decided to go with my spongeball idea as it is fleshed out further than the rest and has really interesting puzzle possibilities that will be fun to play with here are storyboards of the basic set of abilities you can have in the game "cut" "squash/stretch" and "create"

and here are a list of all the different liquids abilities and items that could be in the game...

logo #2

heres another logo design after some feedback from the group they wanted the name to look like its glowing hot and the "j" to be sepearated from the F and the R to look less like an A and heres what i got:

after some trial and error i managed to get a better glow look to it, i got rid of the flames to make it less cluttered although i think it may still be missing something.

anyways our pitch to chunk will be a week today, the group will pick our final logo on tuesday before, but for then i need to have some more pretty things to sell our concept ideas to chunk so expect some frequent uploads leading upto friday.

logo design

hello,

Well as an artist I have to create a logo for our team as mentioned before the teams called Forge "Forj"

The other artist played about with the "Forge spelling so i decided to go with the different spelling which means to move ahead, make progress

I think its ok as a starting off point but theres definitely some problems with it the R looks to much like an A for a start..

I will be uploading more logo ideas soon

Chunk: Play-Craft

We had our first meeting on tuesday (18th)  have yet to decide on a team name we decided to go away and individually research into Chunk and come up with a moodboard and idea for what we are going to do...

here is the brief...

PLAY-CRAFT
When asked how he created his ‘Statue Of David’, Michelangelo is rumored to
have said…
"It is easy. You just chip away the stone that doesn't look like David."

There’s never really been a good game about carving, chipping, or molding a
material for some purpose. But what do you use to shape the material? And why
are you doing it.

We’d like to see a game where you turn something into something else for
some purpose… through chipping, molding, carving… any of the manual crafting
disciplines you can think of really. The rest is up to you!

Personal Project

This will be my blog for my personal/group project. I was given the brief for Chunk-Playcraft although not what I wanted as I cant really think of anything to do for it or even how much 1 artist can do let alone 2? but anyways I am over that little hump and ready to take this brief on (I like a challenge).

So far we are trying to arrange a time to get together and brainstorm so far its proving difficult to arrange it around work and uni classes.

Anyways hopefully we get a day and time arranged for next week when we are all free, and i shall post the ideas up after.
